Bey Captain - Melbourne
My dance life started many moons ago, I was trained in jazz, contemporary, hip hop and acrobatics. From a young age I fell in love with the way dancing could make you feel and how it can change your mood instantly. I loved the way you could be dramatic and cheeky with Jazz, how powerful and strong you could feel with Hip Hop and how expressive and in touch with your emotions you could be with contemporary.
My love for dancing lead me down the path of completing my dance examinations and competing nationally. I always loved and enjoyed the rush of adrenalin you would get from performing on stage or in front of judges, I loved how for that 3 or 4 minutes you owned your space and owned the floor.
After a while I decided to take a break from dance and focus on other things in life and I never looked back… until Bey Dance came along.
A close friend of mine told me about Bey Dance and I remember my very first class - ‘Diva’ I still remember leaving that class feeling so exhilarated and extremely happy! I’m so glad I was able to find my passion again.
When I’m not dressed in a leotard, stockings and heels, you can find me dressed completely in corporate attire at a 5 star hotel in Human Resources.
Everything that Bey Dance stands for is something extremely close to my heart – making people feel comfortable in the skin they are in, learning to love yourself and having an absolute ball in the process.
